Work UK firms can bid for
Six package families, released to market between now and 2030.
Most of what a wind farm spends does not go on turbines. It goes on steel, boats, trucks, cable, food, beds and training, bought from firms that are usually a lot smaller than we are.
The package families
Marine and vessels
Guard vessels, crew transfer, survey support, ROV work, towage and standby cover for the offshore campaigns.
Fabrication and steel
Secondary steel on the transition pieces, boat landings, ladders, access platforms, J tube seals and spares.
Onshore civils
Access tracks, cable trenching, substation groundworks, drainage, fencing and full reinstatement afterwards.
Cable and electrical
Pull in at the landfall, jointing, termination, high voltage testing and the onshore commissioning support.
Ports and logistics
Quayside handling, laydown and storage, heavy haulage, load out, and customs and freight administration.
People and site services
Accommodation, catering, transport, protective equipment, waste, medical cover, and offshore survival training.
Getting on the register
Send us your company name, what you do, roughly where you are and any accreditations that matter for the work. That is the whole registration. There is no portal to log into and no annual fee.
We put you on the list for the package families you pick. When one of those reaches the market you get an email with the scope, the tender dates and the name of the contractor running it. You are free to ignore it.
If you are a first time supplier to offshore wind, say so in the email. The tier one contractors run open days before the larger packages, and we would rather point you at the right one than have you guess.
